Not On My Sleeve, Maybe On My Briefs
Couldn't the exact same argument that King makes be made if you replaced homosexual with any religious denomination? Let's say you're a Christian or a Baptist. To quote King, "If you don't project it, if you don't advertise it, how would anyone know to discriminate against you?"
